  A favorite hobby I have is exploring caves. I have been to California Caverns, Black Pearl Cave, Carlsbad Caverns, Mitchel Caverns and my wife and I hiked 5 miles into the Mojave desert to find and explore a Lava Tube! I did some pretty adventerous tours in Carlsbad. We did a tour with hand held lanterns!  Some pretty tight crawl spaces.  there are a number of caves in the Mojave that you can do on your own!  No park rangers bothering you but it is a little dangerous.

This cave was discovered in 1989. It is "The Mt. Everest" of caves! The cave had not been entered by man or animal its entire life. It is hundreds of miles long and is still being explored. Not open to the public!!!!! Cry Cry Cry  Click on the circles and view the most amazing formations!!!
