I'm not sure if this is considered a "hymn", but it is a song I learned at Calvary Chapel, SLO

Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see you
I want to see you

See you high and lifted up
Shining in the light of your glory
Pour out your power and love
As we sing "Holy Holy Holy"

Something like that!  Anyways, that was always a favorite song of mines

It is a wonderful worship song. I have heard different renditions but my favourite is Michael W. Smith's. It is a good hymn to put yourself right in God's palm and let Him just rejoice over you with singing as well. Hallelujah it is marvelous.

Here is a link to the music and lyrics.

For some reason the link will not work if you click on it so you can copy and paste it into a new window of Internet Explorer on the Address bar and hit enter. Sorry about that.

Enjoy and Lord bless

THE TOUCH OF HIS HAND ON MINE
Author: Jessie B Pounds  & Henry P Morton.

CHORUS:
OH, THE TOUCH OF HIS HAND ON MINE
OH, THE TOUCH OF HIS HAND ON MINE!
THERE IS GRACE AND POW'R IN THE TRYING HOUR,
IN THE TOUCH OF HIS HAND ON MINE

Verse 1:
There are days so dark that I seek in vain,
For the face of my Friend divine,
But tho' darkness hide,
He is there to guide
By the touch of His hand on mine

Verse 2
There are times, when tired of the toilsome road
That for ways of the world I pine,
But He draws me back to the upward track
By the touch of His hand on mine

Verse 3
When the way is dim, and I cannot see,
Thro' the mist of His wise design,
How my glad heart yearns,
and my faith returns
By the touch of His hand on mine

Verse 4
In the last sad hour, as I stand alone,
Where the powers of death combine
While the dark waves roll
He will guide my soul
By the touch of His hand on mine.

Lenore,

I haven't heard that hymn in decades!  I used to think of it in the sense of actually "feeling" the touch of His hand on mine, and every time I heard or sang it I wondered if I would ever know such an experience.

Now, at the tender age of 62, I have begun to understand His touch more in the sense of "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine..." and have a better idea of what it means.

Thanks for the reminder!

In Christ,

I'VE DISCOVERED THE WAY OF GLADNESS
Author: Floyd W. Hawkins

Verse 1.
Mankind is searching every day, In quest of something new;
But I have found the 'living way', The path of pleasures true.

Verse 2:
I've found the Pearl of greatest price, "Eternal life" so fair;
Twas through the Saviour's sacrifices, I found this jewel rare.

Chorus:

I've discovered the way of gladness
I've discovered the way of joy
I've discovered relief from sadness
'Tis a happiness without alloy;
I've discovered the fount of blessings,
I've discovered the "Living Word";
"Twas the greatest of all discoveries,
When I found Jesus my Lord.

February 28th.

HE WAS THERE ALL THE TIME
Author: Gary S. Paxton.

Verse 1:

Time after time I went searching for peace in some void,
I was trying to blame all my ills on this world I was in,
Surface relationships used me till I was done in,
And all the while someone was begging to free from sin.

Chorus:

He was there all the time
He was there all the time Waiting patiently in line
He was there all the time

Verse 2:

Never again will I look for a fake rainbow's end,
Now that I have the answer, my life is just starting to rhyme;
Sharing each new day with Him is a cup of new life,
O, what I missed! He's been waiting right there all the time.

Chorus:
He was there  all the time
He was there all the time
Waiting patiently in line
He was there all the time
